Audio Effects
Apply audio effects like bass boost and nightcore to your music playback. Learn how to toggle, stack, and manage effects.
Available effects
Nevi supports a variety of audio effects you can apply to your music playback. Use /effects with no arguments to see all available effects and which ones are currently active.
Usage
/effects show— view all effects and their current on/off status
Applying an effect
To toggle an effect on or off, pass the effect name as an argument:
Usage
/effects <effect>— toggle an effect on or off
Example
/effects bassboost— enables bass boost
/effects nightcore— enables nightcore
/effects bassboost— disables bass boost (toggle off)
Stacking effects
Multiple effects can be active at the same time. Each effect you enable stacks on top of the others, so you can combine bass boost with nightcore, or any other combination you like.
To remove all effects, simply toggle each active effect off individually. Use /effects to check which ones are currently active.
Tips
Effects apply globally
When you enable an effect, it applies to all songs in the queue - not just the current one. The effect persists until you toggle it off or stop playback entirely.
DJ mode restrictions
If DJ mode is enabled, only users with the DJ role (or mod/admin permissions) can toggle effects.
Experiment with combos
Some effect combinations sound great together. Try enabling a couple at once and see what you like. If things get too wild, just toggle them off one by one.
